Youth Program and Prevention Services

The Youth Program with funding from the City of Fremont and County of Alameda Behavioral Health Services is part of the Afghan Wellness Project and focuses on youth and their challenges. Our youth workers are bilingual, culturally competent, trained community helpers who provide the following services:
  • Outreach/Engagement and Psychoeducation

  • After school tutoring and mentoring

  • Cultural counseling for parents and youth

  • Parenting workshops

  • Crisis intervention

  • Substance abuse awareness

  • Pro-social Activities

  • Advocacy

  • Resource and Referrals

  • ​Mental Health Promotion and Information

  • Prevention counseling
