In partnership with the City of Fremont, the Afghan Coalition provides essential support to Afghan families facing crises, housing instability, and economic challenges. Serving 450 individuals annually, our program offers Crisis Intervention Services, including culturally competent counseling, family mental health consultations, and domestic violence resources. Through Basic Needs Assistance, we connect families to housing support, food programs, public benefits enrollment, and translation services. Our Strengthening Services help individuals achieve self-sufficiency by providing healthcare enrollment, childcare assistance, citizenship support, entrepreneurship training, and transportation aid.
Additionally, we foster community resilience through women’s support groups, youth enrichment programs, and health education workshops. These initiatives empower Afghan families with peer support, financial literacy, and leadership development. By bridging language and cultural gaps, the Afghan Coalition ensures that Afghan refugees and immigrants have access to vital services and opportunities for long-term stability.
