The graduates represent a wide range of businesses, including media services, nonprofit organizations, towing services, tailoring, childcare, catering, clothing, dry food businesses, and many other community-based enterprises. Their achievements reflect the resilience, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit of our community.
During the ceremony, several awardees shared their personal journeys of arriving from Afghanistan and adapting to a new country, culture, and way of life. They spoke about the many challenges they faced and how the SEED program gave them the knowledge, confidence, and support to pursue their dreams of becoming business owners.
We are incredibly proud to have completed this important project despite the many challenges we encountered along the way. Our dedicated staff worked together as one team, overcoming every obstacle with commitment, professionalism, and compassion to ensure the program’s success.
At the Afghan Coalition, our mission is to empower our community by helping individuals become self-sufficient, independent, and fully integrated into society. Seeing these graduates take the next step toward financial independence is a powerful reminder of why we do this work.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our outstanding SEED Project Coordinator, Mr. Mohammad Samim, whose leadership, dedication, and tireless efforts played a vital role in the success of this program. We are equally grateful to all of the our staff, managers and participants, who supported one another throughout their journey and persevered despite the many challenges they faced.
